Ring and Pinions - a typical new gear set as received from the factory. The Ra is usually between 25 Ra and 20 Ra, and the black oxide coating keeps it from rusting.

Engine Parts Gallery

Crankshaft: The crank throws are done to reduce windage through the oil. And the oil sheds much faster. The process also reduces stress risers which eventually leads to failure. Journal sizes are not affected.
Valve springs: Reduce fracture lines which will greatly increase a spring's life span. Sheds oil much quicker too.

Special Project: Windage Tray
Connecting rod: Rods also run through the oil bath. These rods will shed oil quicker and have reduced stress risers that lead to cracks and failure.
Camshaft: The micro polished surface is already broken in. Works with flat tappet and roller cams.
